So this week we have traveled out to AZ for the 60th wedding anniversary of Michelle's Grandparents and we have been real excited about it. The only problem that we thought we were going to have is driving for such a long time (17 hours) with Tava. Well, the drive was not too bad except for the fact that Tava did not go back to sleep after being woken up at 4 am and only took about 3, 1/2 hour naps during the whole trip. We also noticed that her eye started to drain a little bit and so we were a little concerned about that. She was happy all of the trip until the last 2 hours when we stopped for gas and started to drive again. Then it was almost a straight cry the rest of the way. We broke the law and had her out of the car seat the last part of the trip and kept switching her sitting with mommy or daddy. We also tried to watch her favorite movies and nothing worked. Then as a last minute effort Daddy decided to sing the wheels on the bus and sang it for about 20 mins and that for some reason worked. (Yes, I had to make up some verses to keep the song going for that long.) Then this morning, we took her to a Minute Clinic at CVS Pharmacy and found out she has another ear infection and has the beginings of Pink Eye. AHHHHHHHHHHHH. Yes this is just what we wanted for our vacation. So now we have her on two antibiotics and hopefully she will be back to herself soon. We will keep you updated. This is starting out to be a great trip can't you tell.
Sheesh!

So very sad! My only words of comfort is that at least it's treatable. ? You're lucky she only cried for 2 hrs. Very impressive.
