Fever, Shots and Some other Stuff

On Sunday, Tava had a mild grade fever (101) which did not make her happy at all. She was fussy and crying all the time. We could not figure it out until after church when we decided to take her temperature and found out that she was not doing well. We think that is was just a 24 hour bug because the next day she was her normal self with no fever. We were blessed that it was nothing serious.

On Monday, Michelle and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary of marriage. It has been a wonderful 2 years with a lot of moments that I would not trade for the world. I just hope that the rest of eternity is as good as these first 2 years. For the day we spent it baby sitting Scott and Carrie's two kids and then we to a restaurant for dinner. For all you guys out there, if you don't mind spending a little bit of money and want to take you wife out to a really great "meat" house, you name the meat and you can have it, then you need to take her out to Texas de Brazil. There is one in Addison and also one in Downtown Dallas. It is not your normal sit and be waited on restaurant. I would call it a buffet with a twist. Michelle and I throughly recommend the restaurant to anyone and everyone.

Today Tava had her 2 month doctor's appointment. As most of you know, this is the appointment where they begin the "torturing" of the children with shots. She got 4 shots and an oral vaccine. Michelle sent me with Tava while she stayed with Scott and Carrie's kids. Poor thing cried like I have never heard her cry before. She is better now and probably doesn't remember a thing. Next time it is Michelle's turn. We also found out how much our little chunk weighs. She is now 13 lbs. 8 oz. and is 23 1/2 in. long. I think that she is eating well.

And last of all, and for me, not least, I got some great news in the mail today. I have been waiting for about a month now for some news about my acceptance into the nursing program at the hospital. I knew that everything was in and that all of my classes had been accepted but I was just waiting to get word from them. Well, TODAY I GOT THE LETTER THAT I WAS ACCEPTED INTO THE PROGRAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I can get started on my third carrer as an adult. Three is a charm right.
